Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk - What It Actually Adds
Dawn and Dusk brings the beginning of the new seasonal model, this one running from April 2 to July 8, 2026 and will set the structure for future content drops, with all core gameplay additions available free to all players.
Rather than the old expansion release style, Season Zero will roll out features over time, combining new systems, mechanics, and limited time content.
New Core Systems
Tamriel Tomes
A new seasonal, challenge based reward system - players can earn Tome Points by completing activities, and use those points for currencies, cosmetics, furnishings, and other rewards.
Gold Coast Bazaar
New reward store - spend the new currency, Trade Bars, on returning and seasonal collectibles in the new in-game store.
Major Gameplay & Combat Updates
Class and Combat Refreshes
The Dragonknight class and Two Handed skill line have both received major overhauls, with a rework of abilities, animations, VFX, and audio
PVE Content - Night Market Event
Limited time zone set in Fargrave
Pledge to one of three factions
Features:
New quests and characters
Unique rewards
A new manor-sized player home
Season Zero establishes key shifts for ESO moving forward - all core gameplay updates will be free to all players, content will be time gated across the season instead of dropped all at once like in the past, with seasonal content like the Night Market on a returning rotation.
